Three players West Brom should target during the January transfer window
Tony Pulis looks set to be one of the busiest Premier League managers during the upcoming January transfer window.
The West Bromwich Albion boss publicly admitted that he failed to land the big names he had targeted during the summer.
But with the club under new ownership, money is available as the Baggies hope to build on an impressive first half of the campaign.
Could these be the players who help push West Brom from their current position of eighth into contention for a European place?
According to BBC Sport, West Brom have already lodged a bid of around £15m for the Manchester United midfielder, who is surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.
The 27-year-old France international has featured only three times in the top-flight this season after becoming marginalised by Jose Mourinho.
Schneiderlin was one of the standout performers in the Premier League during the 2014/15 season, which earned him a big-money move from Southampton.
He is a top target for West Brom, whose midfield is ageing with the likes of Darren Fletcher and Chris Brunt both in the autumn of their careers.
Schneiderlin would add energy and bite – two attributes often associated with Pulis’s teams. Obtaining his signature would likely mean breaking the club’s transfer record, however.
