Three players Tottenham should loan out during 2021

It’s been a season to remember for Tottenham so far with some people predicting them to be genuine title contenders.

Recent defeats against Liverpool and Leicester have perhaps set them back in that quest but Champions League qualification is an achievable target.

With the January window set to open, Jose Mourinho might have some targets in mind.

If he is to continue his squad rebuilding process, however, some of his fringe players may have to depart.

We took a look at three players who Tottenham should consider allowing out on loan during 2021.

Harry Winks

The midfielder has barely been seen this season and with the European Championships on the horizon, he’ll want to play.

At 24, there is plenty of time for Winks to continue honing his skills and a run of games elsewhere could see him challenge for a Tottenham place during 2021/22.

Winks earns £50,000-a-week but has played just five games in the Premier League this season.

He is far too good to be sat on the bench not playing football but at the same time, Tottenham should refrain from offloading him permanently.

Dennis Cirkin

The left-back is tipped to be a future star and is highly-rated by the coaching staff at Tottenham.

Cirkin is yet to make a first-team appearance for Spurs but has been on the bench in the Europa League.

The 18-year-old is a Dublin-born defender who has made appearances for various England youth teams.

With Sergio Reguilon and Ben Davies ahead of him in the pecking order, it seems like a good time for Cirkin to head out on loan.

Jack Clarke

Mourinho has previously said that he is keen to take a look at Clarke in training, although his sentiment hasn’t earned him any real game time just yet.

The 20-year-old has made two appearances in the Europa League and played in a handful of games for the under-23s.

Clarke needs to continue developing in men’s football and a loan move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium would do him good.

The man signed for £10 million from Leeds has massive potential but the only way he will fulfil it is by playing more games.
