The Portuguese league is beginning to become one of the favourite shopping destinations for Premier League clubs and one of the emerging talents there is Porto’s Andre Silva.

At the age of 21, he is already showing himself to be a reliable goal-scorer and he has a lot of potential to develop into a quality striker. As well as scoring ten goals in Liga NOS, the 21-year-old has scored four times in six Champions League matches, helping his side to reach the next round.

He is a complete striker, capable of playing key passes in build-up play and is an impressive finisher with his feet and head. Silva is a danger when he is running with the ball and is capable of creating space for himself by beating opposition players.

Tottenham need to bring in another striker to add competition and cover for Harry Kane. They missed him hugely during his period out with injury and Vincent Janssen has yet to show he can cut it in the Premier League.

Andre Silva would be an exciting signing and unlike Janssen, he is the type of player capable of changing a game from the bench. He is more inventive and his movement would cause a lot of problems for a tiring defence.

There will be a number of clubs looking at Silva and it would be a coup if Tottenham land him, but he is a player that should be on their radar.
