Robert Snodgrass
His future at Hull City is uncertain, despite the Premier League club exercising their option to extend his contract.
It looks likely that the Tigers will be returning to the Championship at the first attempt and the Scottish international has proven himself to be a Premier League player.
He will know that his performances this season will give him options in January and he seems to be willing to leave Hull if the right offer comes in. Snodgrass has an excellent set piece delivery and a knack for scoring important goals.
His work rate and creativity make him a nightmare to defend against. If he was in a better team than Hull, he could make a real impact in the Premier League.
Newcastle are looking to strengthen their wide options in January as Christian Atsu is set to go to the African Cup of Nations. They will be aware of Snodgrass’ situation and may make a move after the winger impressed in the EFL Cup tie between the two clubs earlier this month.
This would be a coup and show that Newcastle really mean business ahead of their likely Premier League return.
They may need to compete with Premier League clubs for his signature, but the future is bright at Newcastle and Snodgrass may be willing to drop a division temporarily to be part of the bright future at St James’ Park.
