Liverpool have some excellent midfield options, but they will still be in the market for more. It is a position that is important to Klopp’s system as the centre midfielders do a lot of running and rotation will be required as the season progresses. There are a lot of talented midfielders across Europe, but Youri Tielemans could be the finest of the bunch and has been tipped for the top since the age of 15.

The Anderlecht midfielder has already played over 100 times in senior football and is still in his teenage years. He has already been called up to the Belgium squad and has the world at his feet in terms of what he can achieve in the game. Tielemans is an excellent passer, who rarely loses possession and is able to create chances in the final third.

The midfielder is skillful on the ball and capable of beating players when required. He is best utilised as an advanced playmaker, but possesses a good work rate off the ball and could be transformed into a complete midfielder under the right coach.

Tielemans has all the attributes required to become a leading midfielder in the game and already has a huge amount of experience in Belgium and European competitions. He is now ready to leave his homeland to test himself in a better league, but needs to ensure that he moves to the right club. Liverpool are on the up and have a coach that can improve players. Tielemans would benefit from Klopp’s input and it would be a move that excites supporters. Liverpool are building for the long term and Tielemans fits into that.
