The squad at Liverpool is pretty settled and that might mean some departures during the January transfer window.

We took a look at three players who could leave the club on loan in 2020:

Curtis Jones

The midfielder has made his Premier League debut recently but a loan move looks like the next stage of his development.

Several Championship clubs are likely to be interested in his signature and playing games is paramount at this point.

Jones has operated on the left for the Liverpool under-23 ranks and his versatility will make him an attractive option for any potential suitors.

At 18 Jones has a bright future ahead of him but the Reds will surely get him out to play some football in 2020.

Caoimhin Kelleher

The young goalkeeper is currently the third choice and a loan would be extremely beneficial.

A Republic of Ireland under-21 international, he has made the bench for the first-team seven times this season.

He played in all three of Liverpool’s games in the Carabao Cup and did okay in each of them.

Still relatively raw, Kelleher would definitely benefit from six months in the Championship and the physicality would put him in good shape.

Pedro Chirivella

The Spaniard was the captain when Liverpool played Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup recently, although the ring rust was evident.

At 22, the midfielder really needs to be out playing football but perhaps Liverpool shouldn’t wash their hands of him just yet.

Against MK Dons and Arsenal in the League Cup, he did a job and there is hope that he might still make the grade.

A loan spell could be just the catalyst for Chirivella to force his way into the Liverpool team.
