Rudy Gestede
Crystal Palace are also showing recent interest in signing Aston Villa forward Rudy Gestede, according to The Telegraph.
With Connor Wickham out for the rest of the season through a cruciate knee injury, Palace have very few back-up striking options to Christian Benteke and the Club are keen to sign Gestede as cover.
The 28-year-old is a player that well and truly fits the stereotypical Sam Allardyce mould; he’s a skilful player that can hold the ball up well in front of goal, allowing the wide men to run in behind the defence.
With Zaha and Townsend leading Palace’s wide options, this is a tactic that could feasibly work.
Gestede never truly imposed himself on the Premier League during Aston Villa’s relegation season, and a move to Selhurst Park could give him the chance to impress on the biggest stage.
