Three players Arsenal should loan out during 2021

Arsenal have endured a rotten first half of the 2020/21 campaign and they’ll be hoping for improvements in 2021.

The club could opt to enter the transfer market once again and in order to do that some players might have to depart.

Mikel Arteta’s squad is pretty sizeable and the last thing the Gunners will want to do is stockpile players.

With that in mind, we looked at three players who Arsenal should consider loaning out in 2021.

Emile Smith Rowe

The youngster has been handed a few opportunities to shine in the Premier League but they’ve been few and far between.

Not utilising him more frequently will only stunt his progress and with that in mind, a loan move looks best for all parties.

The 20-year-old has scored once and registered two assists during three outings in the Europa League.

Last season, Smith Rowe spent the second half of the campaign on loan with Huddersfield.

He benefited from first-team football then and he could do the same in 2021.

William Saliba

The two words that Mikel Arteta can take as a given he will hear at every press conference.

Arsenal’s boss must be sick of answering questions on a player who is yet to make a first-team appearance for the club.

The £27 million signing was expected to be part of the Gunners squad this season but that hasn’t transpired.

If Arsenal have no plans to utilise him during the second half then a loan for the £40,000-a-week enforcer seems like the best bet.

Saliba needs to play and he doesn’t look like doing that at the Emirates Stadium.

Joe Willock

The 21-year-old is another who continues to shine in the Europa League but has struggled to make an impact on the Premier League.

Arsenal boss Arteta has been reluctant to throw the midfielder into his team domestically and his progress is stuttering.

He scored three goals and claimed three assist in Europe but for some bizarre reason, hasn’t been a regular in the Premier League.

Given his age, there is plenty of time for him to make the Arsenal grade. His short-term future could be out on loan though.
