‘Three official offers’: Three teams have now bid to sign ‘incredible’ Tottenham target

Jota has been linked with a move to Tottenham for months now.

The Portuguese winger knows Ange Postecoglou well from his time at Celtic, and as speculation continues to brew around his status in Saudi Arabia, Spurs are said to have looked at this deal.

The winger would be perfect for Postecoglou, but, unfortunately, it would appear that Spurs aren’t the only side that want to sign the ‘incredible’ attacker.

Indeed, according to Rudy Galetti, three official offers have now gone in for Jota, including a loan bid from another Saudi Arabian club.

Of course, we don’t know if one of these offers are from Tottenham, but amid strong speculation about the north London club making a move for Jota, it’s not unreasonable to assume that Tottenham are indeed one of the sides in this race.

Unfortunately for Spurs, the presence of another Saudi club in this race will make things difficult.

Jota, like many other players, is earning a massive amount of cash over in the middle east, and Spurs may be unlikely to be able to match the financial package on offer in the Saudi Pro League.

However, in terms of a sporting project, there may not be a better move for Jota to make right now than to Tottenham.

The winger knows Postecoglou so well, and with Spurs pushing for a place in next season’s Champions League, this could be a great move for Jota if he does indeed want to get back amongst playing top-level European football.

This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on, and whether or not Jota ends up at Tottenham, it would appear that he’s going to be on the move this month one way or another.

Three bids have gone in for Jota now, and there could be some significant movement on this front in the coming hours.
