Three Leeds summer signings Marcelo Bielsa will want to see more from

Leeds United have been reinvigorated by the arrival of Marcelo Bielsa and his unique brand of football has the club motoring along very nicely indeed in the Championship.

But as the January window looms, we’ve taken a look back at his summer business, where these three players show he didn’t get everything right…

Blackman is a highly-rated goalkeeper but failed to dislodge Bailey Peacock-Farrell before an injury prematurely ended his season.

In fairness, he looked set to oust the Northern Irishman before his injury, but he would have hoped to do that sooner, given the youngster’s patchy form.

Brown was brought in during the summer to add pace and variety to Bielsa’s attack, but injury has so far stunted his progress.

Samu Saiz’s departure increases the pressure on Brown to step up upon his return to fitness, but so far his contribution to Leeds’ promotion push has been minimal.

The fact that Pep Guardiola brought Harrison to Manchester City underlines how much talent he has, but Harrison has yet to show it at Elland Road.

He was given a great deal of gametime at the start of the season, but did not perform well enough to even oust the inconsistent Ezgjan Alioski on a regular basis.
