12 – Lallana continues to improve
Adam Lallana has possibly been Liverpool’s best player this season, flourishing in the middle of the park behind some excellent attackers, but it may surprise some fans just how steep his improvement has been.
Last season, the former Southampton captain was involved in 10 league goals in 30 matches. In 2016/17, he has already surpassed that total, scoring six and assisting the same amount to take his involvement to 12 goals in just 14 matches.
Lallana was helping to produce 0.33 goals per game last season. This has increased to 0.86 this campaign. A massive improvement.
