Manchester United just about avoided a fifth straight home draw with their win over Spurs, helping them to within three points of their opponents.

United’s run of four consecutive home draws was one of their most barren spells in recent memory, but a fifth would have represented their longest barren run since 1980.

Maybe Mourinho and his team can kick on now the monkey is off their back.
