Avoiding the Boxing Day rush, Liverpool and Stoke take to the field on Tuesday evening as they both start their busy Christmas period.
The Reds go into their three festive fixtures knowing there is little room for error in the race to catch Chelsea before the season is out and a win over the Potters will be crucial to their efforts to keeping up the pace.
As for Stoke, they have recovered from a poor start to sit comfortably in mid-table, where it looks as if they will finish at the end of the season. However, a win at Anfield could push them on and inspire them to challenge for a Europa League spot in the second half of the season.
Here are three stats ahead of the game:
15 – Anfield turning into a fortress
Anfield was always regarded as a safe haven for Liverpool, a place where results were almost guaranteed and defeats were as rare as a Lucas Leiva screamer.
This invincibility was lost in the lean years under Roy Hodgson, Kenny Dalglish and Brendan Rodgers, but under Jurgen Klopp Liverpool are unbeaten in 15 matches in the Premier League at home, winning nine and drawing six.
They will be confident of extending that run against Stoke, who have only won once in 37 visits to Anfield (in the league cup semi-finals last season.)
