Three key statistics: Everton 2-1 Arsenal
Everton were on a run of only one win in ten games going into their midweek match against high-flying Arsenal, having not won a game in the league since October.
But despite falling behind to an Alexis Sanchez free-kick, goals from defenders Seamus Coleman and Ashley Williams at the back end of each half turned the game around for the Toffees, who now move up to seventh in the Premier League.
Arsenal remain three points off Chelsea, who have a game in hand.
Here are three key stats from the game at Goodison:
11 – Everton prove to be the comeback kings
Everton’s form may have fallen off the face of a cliff since they sat second in the Premier League three months ago, but things could have been much worse without some exceptional powers of recovery.
Ronald Koeman’s side have won 11 points from losing positions in the Premier League this season, just under half of their total of 23 points.
Without these recoveries, Everton would be teetering on the edge of the relegation zone.
