Three key statistics ahead of Crystal Palace vs Chelsea
Things have certainly been going well for Chelsea of late. Ever since a first half demolition by Arsenal over two months ago, the Blues have cruised to 10 league wins in a row, and will be top of the league at Christmas regardless of the result at Palace.
For the Eagles, things have been far more difficult. They are yet to really put a good run of form together in the league, and have been marooned in the bottom half of the season for the duration of the campaign.
But could a London derby inspire them to turn their form around? We take a look at the stats ahead of the game:
5 – Palace struggle in London
Occasionally when looking at stats over the course of a season, it is interesting to investigate the effect playing in a London derby has on a team, and it does not make good reading for Palace.
They may have beaten Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in August 2015, but since then, they have played eight London derbies and picked up just two points, losing six matches.
On current form, this hardly looks like it will change against Chelsea.
