Three key battles in the North London Derby between Arsenal and Tottenham
With the North London Derby taking place on Sunday, The Boot Room looks at where the game will be won or lost. It promises to be a feisty affair, as Spurs hope to continue to challenge Chelsea at the top of the table, whilst Arsenal cling onto their dreams of finishing in the top four.
In what is a huge game for both sides, it may be a piece of individual magic or superb defending that decides the game, but which battles could change the outcome of this tie?
Harry Kane vs Laurent Koscielny
Harry Kane has been in superb form this season for Tottenham and he has recently returned to the side having been out injured. With 20 Premier League goals in 24 appearances, the Spurs man has one of the best scoring rates in the league.
Laurent Koscielny will be the man tasked with the job of stopping the prolific Englishman. Kane’s ability to sniff out scoring chances is what makes him so dangerous and the Frenchman will have to limit the Spurs man’s opportunities.
The England international can capitalise on the most difficult of chances, while he carves out opportunities for himself. With the creative talent around him, he always looks likely to score. Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Heung-Min Son know that if they give Kane a chance, he will put it in the back of the net.
The French defender will be hoping to do what very few defenders have managed this season; keep Harry Kane quiet.
