Three key battles ahead of Manchester City’s trip to top-four rivals Arsenal

Alexis Sanchez vs John Stones

With 18 goals to his name already this season, Alexis Sanchez is definitely Arsenal’s biggest attacking threat. The Chilean International has made the striker’s role his own at the Emirates and has found a rich goal-scoring vain that has already seen him surpass last season’s goal total of 13 by some way.

Sanchez comes into this fixture having found the back of the net three times in his last three outings and it’s up to John Stones to keep him quiet on Sunday. Alongside Nicolas Otamendi, the Englishman will have one of his toughest 90 minutes against Sanchez.

Sanchez is a clever player and he’ll know that he has the best chance of scoring by beating Stones in a one-on-one situation, as the 22-year-old is the most inexperienced player in City’s back line.

Stones has only won 50% of his tackles this season, suggesting that he is easily beaten. If he is to stop Sanchez, the Englishman will need to win a high percentage of his tackles and put in a solid defensive display this Sunday.
