The second player who could make a potential transfer in the summer to Chelsea is Italian centre-half Bonucci, who has made 34 appearances for Juventus this season.

Bonucci, who has also won the domestic double under Conte, secured the Scudetto very early on in his life in Turin in the 2011-12 season. He has a great relationship with the 46-year-old manager and would fit well in a Chelsea side derived from flair and power perfectly.

He has played in a three-man defence or multiple years with the “Old Lady” and appeared in 2012 against the Blues in a Champions League fixture, which expressed the precision Conte can bring to a squad under his philosophy.

However, any move for Bonucci could be blocked by his current club, with Juventus chief Beppe Marotta seemingly ruling out a move: “Bonucci is a marvellous player. And I think he intends to play in Turin for many more years.”
