Arnór Ingvi Traustason
Despite having only made nine international appearances including 2 at the Euros, Ingvi is a promising talent at just 23-years-old and looks like he could go on and have a very successful career. Having signed for Rapid Wien this summer, a move to England would be years away yet, but if his career continues on the path it currently is, he could be Iceland’s next Eidur Gudjohnsen.
He notched three goals in qualifying for the Euros and impressed during Iceland’s victory over Austria scoring the famous last minute goal that sent Iceland through to the knockout stages. Despite not making much of an impact in his second and final Euro appearance against England, Ingvi has shown enough to be a clear contender for a move to England one day, particularly if his performances career on into his time with Rapid Wien.
The midfielder could be the bit of quality a mid table Premiership team may need in coming years, particularly given he has youth on his side but also shouldn’t cost a huge amount of money due to the relative lack of knowledge about him. Ingvi has so far 22 goals in 108 domestic appearances, hardly prolific but a promising start for a midfielder of his age who is looking like he’s approaching his prime now.
Add to that his accolade of having the most assists in the Swedish top flight in 2015 and his abilities do begin to show themselves.
