Three free agents Rangers could look at, after Filip Helander blow - TBR View
Rangers need another option at centre-back after Filip Helander underwent surgery on his knee, after breaking down against St. Johnstone last week.
The Helander injury comes after Nikola Katic went on loan. They need another, to compete with Connor Goldson, Leon Balogun and Jack Simpson.
Here are three free agents Rangers could consider:
Premier League winner Mangala is a free agent after leaving Valencia last summer. He managed just 10 appearances for Valencia during 2020-21.
The 30-year-old is proven at the top level, and only an injury has seen him fall down the pecking order at Valencia. He is fit, and looking for a club.
The Brazil international has somewhat surprisingly found himself without a club despite impressing for Corinthians, scoring three goals in 21 games.
A Brazil international, the 29-year-old played 153 times for Monaco before returning to Brazil. Now, a move to Rangers could appeal to Jemerson.
A 72-time Cameroon star, N’Koulou might be the best option. Released by Torino, N’Koulou has enormous experience at big European clubs.
Over 200 games for Marseille, as well as almost 250 outings for Lyon, Torino and Monaco – N’Koulou would be a proper coup for Steven Gerrard’s side.
