Play Redmond wider and deeper
Puel has experimented with new signing Nathan Redmond in a more advanced, striking role so far this season, and although he has looked dangerous, it is still yet to be determined whether this suits the youngster.
The 22-year-old has spent all of his career on the wing, and it may be wise to either place him back to this position or drop him slightly so he is playing behind the main striker.
Puel’s thinking is that Redmond has the pace to stretch defences, but his real strength lies in running with the ball and cutting inside. He should be played wide in a front three, or just behind the striker, but not as a centre forward.
