Three changes Liverpool should make after the international break

Start an actual centre forward

Roberto Firmino is such a fine footballer that he plays pretty well up front for Liverpool despite being a central attacking midfielder.

However, although deploying Firmino as a false nine can often work in Liverpool’s favour, there are times when you question why the Reds aren’t playing the Brazilian in his more natural position and taking advantage of their excellent centre forward options.

Daniel Sturridge may not be flavour of the month right now, but he remains the best finisher the club have, and will score well in excess of 20 league goals this season if he is fit and starting.

Divock Origi is another fantastic option, who appeared to have a place nailed down in the team before injury curtailed his season. His hold up play could prove vital in the tougher games.

Let Firmino focus on creating chances running at goal and let the strikers score them.
