Give David Luiz his second debut at the club
It was a surprise that David Luiz returned to the club on deadline day, but the club needed to sign a centre-back and he was the best option available to them. He will benefit from working under Conte and does offer an improvement on their current two centre-backs. It will be a risk to bring him straight in, but he will be eager to get started and Swansea are unlikely to offer a huge threat.
Moreover, Luiz will be able to launch attacks from deep with his passing range and can carry the ball out of defence. Chelsea have missed this during the opening three matches and it will allow their entire team to move up the pitch, putting their attacking players in better positions. Against weaker opposition like Swansea, this is important as they will look to frustrate Chelsea and transitioning the ball quickly helps counteract that.
