Reinstate Neil Taylor
Taylor fell out of favour with Francesco Guidolin after being substituted in the first half of Swansea’s 2-2 draw with Chelsea last month. The Italian coach experimented with a 5-3-2 that day with Taylor as left wing back, but with the Blues dominating proceeding decided to make an early tactical switch.
In the end the change was a positive one as Swansea earned a valuable point, but Taylor clearly felt aggrieved and it appeared that Guidolin did not communicate with him as well as he ought to have done. Taylor looked strong in Wales’ World Cup Qualifiers against Austria and Georgia, and has established himself as a fans favourite at the Liberty Stadium.
He has tremendous pace and energy levels, and gives the Swans a lateral threat going forward in addition to his defensive nous.
