It has been a season of ups and downs for Manchester United under the continued reign of Dutchman Louis van Gaal.

Despite still being in contention for the FA Cup, the Red Devils failed to meet expectations in Europe, while they look set to miss out on a top four league finish, thus failing to qualify for a Champions League spot next term.

The Red Devils have displayed short spells of positive form throughout the campaign, but these haven’t been enough to quash the calls of those vying for Van Gaal’s exit.
