Michy Batshuayi – Marseille
Perhaps an obvious choice following the copious number of reports linking Michy Batshuayi with Tottenham this summer. However, the Marseille front-man, who has scored 16 goals in 35 league appearances this season, would be a great signing on Pochettino’s behalf. He would join a growing contingent of Belgian players at White Hart Lane Lane, among who he is likely to thrive.
What role would he play?
Just as it was during the January transfer window, and the summer before that, a back-up for Harry Kane is a necessity. While the England international has shown a remarkable resistance to injury, there may come a time during the 2016/17 campaign when the Lilywhites have to turn to a second string centre-forward. Batshuayi would occupy this role for the Lilywhites.
