Three Arsenal-linked players that Arteta could lure to the Emirates in January

Arsenal clearly lack creativity at the moment and that could be addressed in the upcoming January transfer window, despite the presence of Mesut Ozil who remains on the books until the end of the season.

Here are three players that the Gunners could look to sign over the next few weeks that have been recently linked with Mikel Arteta’s side – that can solve the club’s lack of connection between midfield and attack.

Strongly linked with a return to the Premier League, Danish ace Eriksen is reportedly on the shopping lists of Arsenal, West Ham, Manchester United and even some have claimed Tottenham Hotspur could look to lure him back from Inter Milan.

ESPN claim Arsenal can sign Eriksen for just £12million and while his wages would be high, signing him for such a small figure would be a low-risk and potentially excellent signing. Would Eriksen consider Arsenal given his Tottenham spell? Who knows.

Emi Buendia

The Argentine has continued to excel at Norwich City in what is his third season with the Championship club. The 23-year-old laid on seven assists and scored once in the Premier League last season, and has continued that form this season.

Playing 16 times in the Championship, the Argentine has scored six goals and created seven more. Football London claim Buendia is a name on Arsenal’s shortlist – but it remains to be seen whether Norwich will let him go in the middle of the season.

Fabio Vieira

Vieira, 20, is still a work in progress. The versatile midfielder has broken into Porto’s first team of late and although he is naturally a number 10 – he has played out wide and deeper in midfield. In 21 games, he has scored three and created one.

But it must be noted that 16 of those 21 games have come from the bench. Portuguese website Record claim – as per the Mail – Arsenal are willing to activate his £27million release clause, and that would be expensive. But clearly, he has potential.
