Three alternatives to Romelu Lukaku for Chelsea as Manchester United agree a £75million fee

Fernando Llorente

Thought to be one of Conte’s top targets, the The Times have revived rumours from January that the Italian is desperate for a reunion with the Spaniard at Stamford Bridge. The duo worked together at Juventus after Conte signed Llorente on a free transfer from Athletic Bilbao.

Llorente had an impressive start to life in the Premier League last season, scoring 15 goals in 33 games for a struggling Swansea side. His strength and aerial prowess make him exactly what the former Juve boss is looking to add to his Chelsea side.

With just one year left on his current deal and at 32-years-old, he may be the cheapest option on the market. Unlikely to be the star option that fans will be crying out for, he could be an interesting back-up option or last resort.
