2. Lukasz Piszczek (Borussia Dortmund)

The right-back from German giants Borussia Dortmund came to the fore at Signal Iduna Park under the reign of Jurgen Klopp, and is now revered as one of Europe’s best and a frequent starter in the Bundesliga side even now. At 31, he is also a well-established player at international level with Poland, which is a testament to his experience, something that would be vital in his position at Arsenal with Bellerin and Jenkinson both being more youthful options.

He would not only provide competition for the two, but his influence and know-how may be a contributing factor in improving the overall game of both players. The addition of Piszczek would not only provide strength in depth, but he adds a little defensive certainty as well as being a good attacker on the right-side, an attribute which so often let Mathieu Debuchy down in his Gunners career. In times like these where the German club are struggling to retain many of their stars, Arsenal can fancy their chances of landing the Pole if they do make a move.
