1. Manolo Gabbiadini (Napoli)
West Ham United have already been linked with this man’s signature by Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, which claims the club have tabled a £21million offer for the Italian international. With Lyon holding firm over Lacazette and Bacca deciding against a move to East London, Gabbiadini may be a far more easily attainable target after only four starts in Serie A with Napoli last season.
The 24-year-old joined the Naples club in 2015 from a fellow Serie A club in Genoese rivals Sampdoria, but has scarcely seen first-team action at the Stadio San Paolo, although he has found the net 13 times in 42 appearances, with the majority being from the bench. His 2015/16 statistics read five goals and three assists from 24 outings in all competitions. The forward obviously knows where the net is, which is the type of forward West Ham need at present, though he may need a run of games to adjust to the environment of the Premier League.
Napoli currently value their man at £14.5 million, so an easily affordable target, but a spanner may have been thrown in the works regarding his future after Gonzalo Higuain’s move to Juventus, and if the club were to part company with Gabbiadini also they would be left short-handed up front.
