Liverpool’s last-gasp 1-0 victory over bitter rivals Everton on Sunday reportedly came at a cost as Andy Robertson is struggling to be fit for the trip to face Burnley tomorrow night to due to a dead leg.
The Scot is a vital part of Jurgen Klopp’s defensive unit these days and the drop off in quality between him and his most likely understudy Alberto Moreno is a worry for the German.
Entering into a busy period of the season, Klopp will be reluctant to risk further injury to a key player, but can he really trust a backline containing Moreno to keep Liverpool’s title chase on course?
He may have little choice, and the fact that Burnley are currently far below the standard they set last season will hearten Klopp that his side can absorb the loss of Robertson – if he cannot recover in time.

That said, Aaron Lennon’s raw pace in a match where Liverpool will have to be wary of Burnley’s threat on the counter attack and from wide areas will concern Klopp if he is forced to field Moreno.
The Spaniard can be impetuous and is bound to be slightly rusty; neither of which are ideal traits in a stand-in full back charged with stopping a rapid winger.
Liverpool are more than good enough to cope, but Dyche would view a battle between Lennon and Moreno as a route to bloodying the Reds’ noses.
