‘Thought I was watching Ronaldo’ – Newcastle fans praise Salomon Rondon’s ’10/10′ performance

Newcastle United moved out of the relegation zone yesterday with a vital win over Cardiff City.

Neil Warnock’s men came to St James’ Park, sitting just one point ahead of Newcastle before the game.

But the Magpies blew Cardiff away with Fabian Schar netting twice before Ayoze Perez completed the rout. It moved Newcastle up to 17th with Cardiff 18th, two points separating the sides.

Newcastle fans were full of praise for physical centre-forward Salomon Rondon, who caused problems all game.

The Venezuela international didn’t manage to get on the score sheet but he was a constant threat and he provided an assist.

Rondon teed up Ayoze Perez with a dangerous low cross to put Newcastle 3-0 up and in a very comfortable position.

Newcastle supporters took to social media after the game to discuss the victory and Rondon received glowing reviews.

The 29-year-old is on loan from West Bromwich Albion but many Newcastle fans want to see that deal made into a permanent one.
