'Leeds has everything': Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea warning ahead of crucial Elland Road clash
Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, name-checked Leeds after his side blew a two-goal lead against Wolves this weekend in a word of warning for his team.
The Blues had looked on course to be cruising to three big points in the race for Champions League football. However, a late Wolves rally ensured Bruno Lage’s men came back into the game to take a share of the spoils.
Next up for Chelsea is a clash with Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United. The Whites dipped into the bottom three this weekend after losing against Arsenal. However, Tuchel has warned against his team dropping off and admitted that Leeds could be even more dangerous than Wolves.
Arsene Wenger's Last 7 Arsenal Signings: Where Are They Now?
“Today we invited a team that fights more or less for nothing to come and score two goals and having big chances. Leeds has everything to fight for to stay in the league and it will be a tough one,” Tuchel said. (Chelsea FC)
With three games to go, Arsenal and Tottenham can actually both catch Chelsea. Of course, Spurs sit five behind and need to win against the Gunners this week to even have a chance of reaching the top four.
TBR’s View: Leeds Couldn’t Be Playing Chelsea At A Better Time
Chelsea are woefully out of sorts at the moment and Leeds will never have a better chance of beating them in what is a massive game for both clubs.
The Whites simply have to get a result. Relegation is looming and a point, or even three, could be massive. For Chelsea, they can now see both Spurs and Arsenal in their wing mirrors. Any slip up could let one or both in, and that would be a disaster.
Tuchel will be looking for a response from his team this week and with that, a big three points against Leeds.
