Atletico Madrid winger Thomas Lemar has decided not to go anywhere in the January transfer window, according to French outlet Le10 Sport.
They report that the French international wishes to remain at Atletico until the end of the season despite heavy interest in his services this month.
Arsenal are named in the report as a side interested in a deal for Lemar this month, and they have been linked since before Alexis Sanchez departed the Emirates Stadium.
Meanwhile, the Independent reported earlier this month that Jose Mourinho’s Spurs were interested in a swoop for Lemar, who could have been available on and initial loan deal.

TBR’s View – Both Arsenal and Spurs have more pressing needs in other positions
Lemar, who cost Atletico a reported (Guardian) £52.7 million, would have been an eye-catching signing for either Arsenal and Spurs but they have more practical needs in other positions.
Spurs need a proper holding midfielder and many fans would also like them to stretch to a striker to cover for Harry Kane.
Arsenal need more at the back and a holding player to upgrade on Granit Xhaka would not go amiss for them either.
Lemar’s decision also makes sense with Euro 2020 on the horizon, where a move to a new country might put his France hopes under threat if it didn’t go well.
