Tottenham Hotspur are entering a new era under Thomas Frank.
Indeed, Ange Postecoglou was sacked after Spurs’ Europa League win, and Daniel Levy was quick to appoint Thomas Frank as a replacement.
Frank looks like an exciting appointment, and there’s a new dawn on the horizon in north London now.
Frank arrives with his own, fresh ideas, and this is a real chance for some of Tottenham’s fringe players to start new chapters.
Speaking on The Lab Podcast, Alasdair Gold has been discussing some of the young players who could make an impact under the new manager and he says that Frank specifically wants to look at Jamie Donley and Will Lankshear.

Thomas Frank wants to look at Will Lankshear
Gold shared some insight into how Frank will be running the ship at Tottenham.
According to the journalist, a number of Spurs players will have a clean slate going forwards, and he says that he knows Frank wants to have a look at both Jamie Donley and Will Lankshear.
Lankshear has been tipped for big things in the past, but the 20-year-old hasn’t quite made the desired impact at Tottenham yet.
“Every new manager, it’s such a cliche, but it is a fresh slate for all of those players,” Gold said.
“Even some of the ones that come back on loan. I know that he wants to have a little look at some of the younger players first, like Donley and Lankshear, before they head out, just to see whether it’s time for them to be part of it, especially with the homegrown issues which people are so bored of me going on about.
“But they’ve got to keep to these club-trained rules. So there’s players like that that he’s going to want to look at.”
Will Lankshear’s Tottenham U21 stats
Frank wants to have a real look at Lankshear over the summer, and he may well be impressed by what he sees.
The youngster may not have made much of a senior impact so far at Spurs, but he’s been very good at U21 level.
Indeed, this young man has been banging in the goals at youth level, as the stats show.

Lankshear’s loan spell at West Brom last season wasn’t all that successful, but, let’s not forget, Harry Kane had numerous unsuccessful loans before becoming a star at Tottenham.
Don’t be shocked if Frank takes a liking to Lankshear in pre-season.
