'What a player': Thomas Frank admits one Leeds player blew him away yesterday

Leeds United might have ended up being comfortably beaten by Thomas Frank’s Brentford side yesterday but the Bees boss was still impressed with the Whites.

Jesse Marsch’s side essentially ensured the game against Brentford was akin to a Basketball match. The 5-2 scoreline could have gone either way in fairness, with the Bees simply taking their chances while Leeds essentially crumbled as the pressure grew.

For Leeds, they are still a team learning to gel. A number of new signings have come in, including the exciting American midfielder, Brenden Aaronson. And speaking after the game, Brentford boss Thomas Frank admitted he was very impressed by Aaronson against his time.

“I think they’re really good. With a narrow front four combining and tricky players, good players. Aaronson – what a player, what a player, that’s a top buy for Leeds. So I think we defended that a little bit bad, but also credit to Leeds,” Frank said (90Min).

Aaronson has started well this season and there is already a feeling at Elland Road that he could be the one to replace the quality of Raphinha, who went to Barcelona this summer.

TBR’s View: Leeds Will Come Again With Aaronson Involved

There is no doubt Brenden Aaronson is a fine player and he’s already shown his quality in the opening games of this season for Leeds.

Yesterday was just one of those days for Leeds as they came off the worse end of an exciting game of football between two teams going all out to score goals and win the game.

Aaronson will play a key role for Leeds this season and the praise from Thomas Frank is a nice little touch here.
