Even before Thomas Frank’s arrival in N17, there were high hopes for Croatian youngster Luka Vuskovic at Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham agreed a deal to sign Vuskovic all the way back in 2023, but the 18-year-old has only just arrived in England.
Vuskovic has signed a five-year contract with Spurs that will run until 2030, and judging by the youngster’s performances on loan in Belgium last season there’s a lot to be excited about.
That being said, Vuskovic has featured in three out of four of Spurs’ pre-season friendlies so far — he only failed to make minutes in Tottenham’s victory over Arsenal.
And after taking a good look at the youngster both in England and in Asia, Frank has now made a decision over his future.
Tottenham plan to send Luka Vuskovic out on loan this season
According to Football London, Vuskovic is one of a raft of youngsters who have just been made available for loan by Spurs.
Jamie Donley, Will Lankshear and Yan Min-hyeok are also standout names on the list, a trio who all went on loan to the EFL last season.

And perhaps Donley will be hoping to join Lankshear and Min-hyeok in the Championship this time around owing to his strong performances for Leyton Orient.
Of course, some Tottenham fans might be surprised to see Vuskovic’s name on that list — he’s clearly a youngster with so much ability.
As mentioned, Vuskovic was excellent in Belgium last season and he even proved that he has serious goal threat at set-pieces.
However, Spurs do actually have several options at the back for Frank to work with, meaning first team opportunities might be hard to come by for the young Croatian.
Thomas Frank yet to make call on Kota Takai
In addition to Kevin Danso who is now a permanent Tottenham player, Spurs also recruited Kota Takai from Kawasaki Frontale this summer.
Takai is currently injured, explaining why he hasn’t played in pre-season, but as things stand the same report claims that his future is somewhat undecided.
For now, Takai remains part of Frank’s first team plans, but his situation will be assessed later in the window, depending on whether Spurs sign another defender.
Therefore, even if Takai also goes out on loan, Vuskovic would be faced with a raft of centre-backs ahead of him to play in the right-footed role.
TBR Football recently confirmed that Cristian Romero is likely to stay at Tottenham despite heavy interest from Spain this summer.
And with Danso already providing backup for Romero, it seems sensible for Vuskovic to continue his progress elsewhere.
