‘This is the end’ – Liverpool fans react and call for Naby Keita to replace Wijnaldum after Man City loss

Liverpool suffered a miserable night in Manchester as they were hammered 4-0 by Pep Guardiola’s City side, and some Reds fans are calling on Jurgen Klopp to drop Gini Wijnaldum for Naby Keita from now on.

The Dutch midfielder was one of a number of players to suffer a poor night at the office for Jurgen Klopp’s men.

It is, of course, hard to single any one player out but Wijnaldum was clearly not with it and was subsequently replaced by Keita early on in the second half.

And although Keita did improve the energy in midfield, the game was already gone as Kevin De Bruyne inspired City to a stunning win over the recently crowned Premier League champions.

The debate between Wijnaldum and Keita was something, then, that boiled over onto Twitter during and after the game.
