Leeds United fans have been giving their reactions this morning, as reports suggested that the club could be taken over fully by the San Francisco 49ers investment branch.
Per a report from The Athletic, it’s claimed the 49ers have an option to purchase Leeds for a fee of around £400m, as long as it’s done before 2024. At the moment, the Americans own just over 40% of the club.

Andrea Radrizzani will have to sell up if the 49ers decide to exercise the clause. It means the Whites will have new owners, and the Premier League will once again see American investment into the game. And naturally, Leeds fans have been expressing their thoughts on the potential takeover.
Like with any takeover, there is apprehension among some of the Leeds fans. Indeed, if Twitter is anything to go by, then there is more than a bit uncertainty among the supporters. Of course, there are those who feel getting this sort of investment can only be good for the club.
Here, then, is what some Leeds fans had to say about the latest 49ers takeover talk.
