‘This is good news’: Some Liverpool fans excited after ‘interesting’ transfer update

Liverpool fans are excited over claims that they are in talks with Donyell Malen’s agent over potentially bringing him to Anfield, as report by Voetbal International.

Liverpool are said to be in discussions with Mino Raiola now, as their interest in Malen appears to be hotting up.

The Dutch striker is fresh off the back of a 27 goal season with PSV, and also had a fine European Championships, where he started for Holland.

And Liverpool fans generally appear to feel he could be an exciting addition to their squad.

A new number nine?

If Malen was to arrive he would offer them a slightly different type of striker to what they have at the moment.

While Roberto Firmino loves to drop deep and link play, Malen prefers to play on the shoulder of the last man.

His speed is a huge asset and would give Liverpool’s attack a fresh look if he was to join.

There is little doubting that Malen would have the skill set to feature in Liverpool’s attack.

His directness must surely appeal to Jurgen Klopp, and his versatility would also be a positive for Liverpool, as they look to build a squad capable of regaining the Premier League title.
