Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club announced a new third kit for the players to wear throughout the 2021/22 campaign.

What’s the story?

Well, Castore have added to their home and away shirt with a very stylish effort, which is modelled by Callum Wilson in the club’s tweet.

Castore have gone with a circle neck, which makes a nice change from the horrid grandad collar on the home shirt.

The third kit is a light blue shade, with darker blue on the neck and sleeve trim to create a bit of definition to the strip.

In our view, it’s a brilliant shirt, and makes up for Castore’s poor work on the home and away shirts.

Nevertheless, we still can’t un-see that huge number four on the chest of the home kit!

Newcastle must get active between now and Tuesday

Forget the home, away or third shirt – it doesn’t matter how attractive they look if the players stink out the Premier League while wearing them.

The Magpies have only signed one player this summer in Joe Willock, who was already at the club for the second half of last season.

In that respect, Steve Bruce’s side aren’t actually any better than they were last season, which is worrying, as Newcastle were pretty poor.

In fact, you could argue the Magpies have become worse, as the inexperienced Freddie Woodman has stood in for Karl Darlow and Martin Dubravka.

If Bruce can’t at least get a loan deal or two over the line before Tuesday, the Magpies could seriously struggle this season.

For now, let’s see what the Newcastle fans on Twitter have been saying about the club’s third kit announcement
