Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after ESPN revealed an interesting bit of information in the race for Houssem Aouar.
What’s the story?
Well, ESPN believe that Tottenham are planning to include Tanguy Ndombele in their bid to sign the Lyon No.8.
Arsenal are also keen, but ESPN are claiming that Mikel Arteta needs to sell players before he can make a move for Aouar.
Lyon want €25m (£21m) for the 23-year-old, as they desperately need cash.
The Ligue 1 outfit are struggling financially after missing out on the Champions League, and also due to COVID-19.
Tottenham would be mad to swap Ndombele for Aouar

From our point of view, we simply can’t see the logic in swapping Ndombele for Aouar.
Lyon only want £21m, so why would Tottenham include their club-record signing who cost them £53.8m in the deal?
It simply makes no sense. ESPN have either been fed some dodgy information, or Daniel Levy really doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing.
Both Premier League clubs – who often reside in the top six – should easily be able to afford £21m.

In Arsenal’s case, the Guardian believe they bid £35m as recently as August.
In that respect, surely Edu would now jump at the chance to sign Aouar – a long-term target – for £14m less than that offer?
Nevertheless, let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying about ESPN‘s bizarre news…
