‘This is a joke’: Liverpool fans fuming with Jordan Henderson injury

Another international break, and another couple of injury worries for Liverpool and their manager Jurgen Klopp, this time in the form of Jordan Henderson.

Henderson hasn’t travelled with England to face San Marino. The Three Lions need a point to seal qualification for Qatar, meaning it’s more or less a formality for Southgate’s men.

However, Henderson, along with a few others in the England squad, won’t feature against the European minnows. Instead, the Liverpool skipper has returned to Anfield and will now be assessed ahead of the Reds’ important clash with Arsenal next.

Naturally, Liverpool fans are feeling aggrieved at the news and were left fuming on social media channels at the update on Henderson. And while Gareth Southgate has confirmed it shouldn’t be serious, Liverpool fans don’t seem to care.

The loss of Gini Wijnaldum in the summer, then the injury to Harvey Elliott, means the Reds are short in the middle. And that was the point many were making on Twitter.
