A number of Leeds United fans have rejoiced after reading Kalvin Phillips’ comments about his future at Elland Road.
The 25-year-old is a fan favourite at Leeds after coming through the ranks at the Yorkshire club and becoming a key player.
Phillips has risen to the top of English football over the last two years.

He helped Leeds up into the Premier League, helped keep them there, and then starred for England at Euro 2020.
Phillips not only helped the Three Lions reach the final of the tournament, but also won England’s player of the year award.
As if often the case, successful players will become the subject of intense transfer speculation.
Phillips has been linked with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United in recent times.
However, the midfielder – who’s currently out with a hamstring injury – has made it clear he wants to stay at Leeds.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Phillips said: “I just want to focus on getting back fit.
“But I speak to the owner regularly. I want a new contract. I’m very happy here.”
Phillips is Leeds through and through, and fans were delighted to hear him express his desire to stay put.
