‘This guy looks dangerous’: Some Arsenal fans wowed by video of 17-year-old in first-team training

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on a video of Gunners academy gem Catalin Cirjan scoring a goal in first-team training.

The 17-year-old midfielder excelled with the Under-18s last season after joining as a scholar from Romanian side Viitorul Domnesti in July 2019.

Just a few months later, Cirjan had earned himself his first professional contract, and this term, he’s stepped up to the Under-23s.

With many of Arsenal’s first-team players on international duty, Mikel Arteta has brought a couple of academy gems up to train with the senior setup and make up the numbers.

Cirjan was one of those, along with Nikolaj Moller, Ben Cottrell, Jonathan Dinzeyi, Joel Lopez, and Tim Akinola.

On Friday, the Romania youth international shared a video of himself in training, along with a starry-eyed emoji:
