Liverpool won’t be signing Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella this summer according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Sky Italia journalist took to Twitter to confirm that the Italian giants are not looking to sell the 24-year-old star. Jurgen Klopp’s side had been linked with the Euro 2020 winner, as well as Manchester United.
However, Inter have seemingly made their stance on Barella very firm. The playmaker was key to the club winning the Serie A title last season. The midfielder was also a part of Italy’s side that won this summers Euro 2020.

Indeed, Liverpool need a replacement for Georgino Wijnaldum this summer. Yet Barella won’t be that player, with Inter digging in their heels to retain their star maestro.
The Reds will no doubt have other targets identified this summer. However, some Liverpool fans on social media are frustrated that Inter won’t sell Barella this summer.
The midfielder won plenty of plaudits this summer for his performances for Italy during the Euros. With Barella building on from his impressive season with Inter last campaign.
