Victor Wanyama has finally got his move away from Tottenham Hotspur, as it is confirmed the midfielder has joined MLS side Montreal Impact.
The club confirmed the move themselves last night and it is reported by The Canadian Press that the deal is a free transfer.
It ends a long period of uncertainty for Wanyama, who has not played a Premier League game for Spurs since September.

A summer move to Club Brugge fell through and the Kenyan, who has struggled with injuries in recent seasons, has since been surplus to requirements under Jose Mourinho.
The move to Quebec will see Wanyama link up with Thierry Henry and it is already clear that the Arsenal legend is a big fan.
Back in December 2017, Henry was talking to Goal.com about Wanyama. The Kenyan international had missed most of the start of the 2017-18 campaign because of knee cartilage damage.
“His (Wanyama) injury had been felt by the club and there is no doubt about that.
“I have said it before, Wanyama and other players, who play in his position, are an integral part of any club’s success or failure because what they do is glamorous. His absence is being felt at Tottenham at the moment.”
Henry clearly felt it was impacting negatively on Tottenham’s performances. Wanyama returned in January 2018 and Tottenham lost just one Premier League game in which he played after his comeback, so clearly Henry was not wrong.
But since then, it has been a consistent struggle for the 28-year-old to remain fit and in form for Spurs.
But it seems that in Henry he has a very appreciative manager and the potentially lighter workload of MLS football will hopefully see Wanyama find his best form again.
Tottenham fans will certainly not begrudge him any success.
