Thierry Henry lauds Bukayo Saka for commitment and attitude towards Arsenal
Thierry Henry has heaped praise on Bukayo Saka following his first full season with Arsenal.
Speaking to Goal, the Premier League legend hailed the 19-year-old winger for his commitment to Arsenal.
A progressive season for Saka
Saka was one of the club’s top performers this season and played the most minutes out of any outfield player. The teenager was this week called up in Gareth Southgate’s final 26-man England squad for Euro 2020.
Henry briefly coached Saka during his spell as U-18 manager of Arsenal, along with the likes of Joe Willock and ex-academy players like Glen Kamara and Josh DaSilva.
Henry: ‘I was like: Wow’
And the Arsenal icon believes the club have a real talent on their hands in Saka. Henry said: “You could see that he wanted to run at people, he wanted the ball, he was brave on the ball.

“I was like: Wow, it’s amazing. I always liked the attitude of the kid, his commitment. And what I like about him is he cares about his club, and he will do whatever to make sure that the team wins.”
Saka can fire Arsenal back to the top of English football
Arsenal have a diamond of a talent in Saka amongst their ranks. And the England international has what it takes to elevate the Gunners back to the top of the Premier League.
The 19-year-old winger is the most talented and exciting player to graduate from Arsenal’s academy in a long time.
And with the likes of Willock and Emile Smith Rowe also showing signs of promise, the Gunners could have a squad filled with Hale End graduates that have the quality to take the club back to the pinnacle of the English game.
