After the game, the Spaniard took to Twitter with a heartfelt message for the fans.

Some Liverpool fans responded:

Liverpool took the lead in the 18th minute when Diogo Jota headed Kostas Tsimikas’ cross home.

Jurgen Klopp’s charges then made the points safe on 69 minutes when Sadio Mane finished off a fine team move.

The Reds back are in action next Saturday when they host Chelsea at Anfield in a 5:30pm kickoff.
