Leeds United desperately needed to get back on track after a poor run of results when they hosted struggling Ipswich Town last night, and they did exactly that.

The 2-o victory was just reward for a much-improved performance which saw Marcelo Bielsa get the reaction his host of changes was designed to provoke.

Pablo Hernandez’s return inspired the attack into improvement that saw off the Tractor Boys, but Leeds fans picked out another player who was their man of the match.

Kalvin Phillips was once again exceptional in his hybrid role dropping in between the centre halves but bossing the defensive midfield zone.

The Englishman has been one of the most improved performers under Bielsa and continued that last night, and it has not gone unnoticed by the Elland Road faithful.
